About Hans Römer

Hans Römer, born and raised in the Netherlands, has been around the "tennis-block" a few times. After graduating from the prestigious CIOS Sport College, where he earned a BA Degree in Physical Education, he became a member of the coaching staff of the KNLTB (Royal Dutch Lawn Tennis Association) Junior Development Program. During this time he also obtained his KNLTB "High Performance C-License", the highest tennis coaching certificate in the Netherlands. At the University of Amsterdam he studied Pedagogy (Science of Teaching).
After moving to the United States he continued his development into an industry leader, resulting in receiving the USPTA Master Professional (Top 1%) designation in 2009. Additionally, he was promoted to a PTR 5A National Tester/Clinician, wrote numerous articles in international tennis magazines and has been a speaker at many international tennis conventions, such as the USPTA World Conference, the PTR International Tennis Symposium, the ITA Coaches Convention and the USTA Tennis Teachers Conference during the US Open. After successful course completion, Hans recently became a Certified Mental Coach™.
Hans has been active as tennis professional, coach, clinician, director, board member and manager, at many prestigious facilities and organizations, such as the USTA, PTR, KNLTB, Vic Braden Tennis College, Pierpont Racquet Club, Colby College, Portland Country Club, and BallenIsles Country Club.
